StudyMate respects your privacy. This extension does not collect, store, share, or transmit any personally identifiable information. All data such as notes, tasks, and saved pages are stored locally using Chrome’s built-in storage and remain accessible only to the user.

Information Usage

  • Notes, tasks, and saved pages: Stored locally in the user’s browser and never transmitted to external servers.
  • Pomodoro timer & notifications: Function offline and do not collect user data.
  • Tracking: The extension does not track browsing history, keystrokes, or any personal activity.

Permissions Justification

StudyMate uses Chrome APIs strictly to support its study-assistant features. Each permission is used only for the functionality described below:

Data Sharing and Third Parties

No data collected by StudyMate is sold, shared, or analyzed by third parties. StudyMate operates entirely within the user's browser environment and requires no backend servers to provide core functionality.

Remote Code

StudyMate does not load or execute remote code. All JavaScript, CSS, and assets are packaged locally within the extension bundle to ensure security and offline functionality.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to our extension or legal requirements. When we do, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
